Welcome to Andrea's Fundraising Page!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Wisconsin Humane Society's 2017 Tails on the Trail run/walk for animals!  I am Captain of the Young Advocates Club team, a club for teens who love helping animals through various fundraising projects. This is the second year our club will be walking as a team on June 24 to support the nearly 25,000 wild and domestic animals that WHS serves annually.

Here is how you can help!

- Click on the DONATE TO PARTICIPANT button. No donation is too small!

- JOIN MY TEAM and walk with us Saturday, June 24 at 10:00a.m. at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee! If you can't attend, but would like to join my team (Young Advocates Club), sign up as a virtual walker!

- Spread the word to fellow animal-lovers by sharing my fundraising page link: http://savinglives.wihumane.org/site/TR/General/General?px=1456856&pg=personal&fr_id=1210

My husband and I's household is filled with not one, not two, but four adopted animals; three of which are from the Wisconsin Humane Society. Back in 2009 and after two months of working at WHS, I was ready to give a home to a kitten in need.  Riley, my now 7 year old domestic shorthair, came to the WHS Ozaukee campus in 2009 along with his littermates and (fortunately) his nursing mother at only a few weeks old. With the care and support of a loving WHS foster family, Riley, his mom and littermates were given a chance to have a new life. I am forever grateful to this organization for saving thousands of innocent lives. Crosby, our now 4 year old domestic longhair also found his way into our home and heart at just 3 weeks old.  He was a stray found dirty, cold and alone in field. We fostered and adopted him. Then there is Murphy, our now 5 year old boxer/shepherd mix who is a puppy for life. He came to WHS from Tennesse as an 8 month old who was emaciated, scared of many things and unsure of his future. With medical care and TLC, he was up for adoption and joined our family.

I'm honored to be a part of this cause, putting animals on their way to a happy and healthy forever-after. We couldn't support these animals without you! Truly, we couldn't and I hope to see you on June 24!
