Join us for Pet Walk MKE 2019
(formerly Tails on the Trail)
Wisconsin Humane Society's annual run/walk at Veterans Park on Milwaukee's lakefront!
Why is "Tails on the Trail" now Pet Walk?
WHS acquired two new shelters (Green Bay and Door County) in 2018, and we’ve been working to ensure brand consistency across all our locations. Green Bay has hosted a similar event to Tails on the Trail called “Pet Walk” for the last 20 years, so after considering the ease of a short name for marketing purposes and the long-standing recognition in that community, we decided it would be best to change “Tails on the Trail” to “Pet Walk” than it would be the other way around! The event will continue to be the fun – and hugely impactful – event that we all love!
Why register for Pet Walk 2019?
Everyone is welcome and anyone can participate - regardless of whether or not you have a dog! You can sign up online today or send in an offline registration form before February 28th and save $15 on day-of registration prices!
Plain and simple, walks are more fun when you're part of a team - and Pet Walk is not just a walk in the park with your dog. It’s open to everyone- with or without a dog! It’s a blast to see all the dogs and spend time with family and friends. What’s even better? It’s followed by our post-race festival featuring activities for every member of your family, including: music, food, dog games, prize wheels, a doggie fashion show, vendors, exhibitors, lure and agility courses and our Doggie Dash Speed Zone to see how fast your pup can run!
You can earn awesome swag!
Collect donations from friends, family, and co-workers – or donate yourself – and you’ll earn sweet prizes for reaching different fundraising levels! Prizes include a hoodie, access to our VIP Heroes Hangout, event tickets, and even a Fast Pass to skip lines at the event!
Your dog will be so proud.
(So will your other furry friends.)
100% of the proceeds from Pet Walk go right back to homeless animals at the Wisconsin Humane Society. You'll never have so much fun making a difference for animals in need.
