In 2015, I went to BAHS to "browse", as my mom was thinking about getting another dog. I walked up and down the aisles and landed upon seemingly empty kennel. I approached the front desk staff to ask where "Gloria" was. After a few minutes of looking around, she was found to be under a blanket! The moment I laid my eyes on her little (almost) 13 year old self, I knew I had to bring her home. I remember thinking to myself- "who else is going to adopt a 13 year old dog? I can't let her live out the rest of her days being scared under a blanket..." That afternoon, little Gloria came home to a new home & new name. Grandma Peanut was a spunky, sassy, & spoiled little girl who ran the house! She lived her golden years laying in the warm summer sun, enjoying cheesy hot dogs, & napping in her many dog beds around the house. Peanut was loyal and protective of the ones she loved most. Sadly, Peanut crossed the rainbow bridge on March 19th. We miss her dearly and hope that you will help other senior dogs find their forever homes! Thank you!
Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for Pet Walk 2018 to raise funds for the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus (formerly Bay Area Humane Society).
Together, we can help our Green Bay Campus provide care to more than 5,000 animals this year and continue the promise that every animal in the adoption program has as long as it takes to find a forever home at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
