The ACT department may seem "undersocialized" at times, but in reality we assist almost every other department at the humane society on a daily basis. Aside from our own responsibilities of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for literally thousands of animals per year that come through our shelter, we collectively perform the logistics of getting an animal from the doorway when it arrives to the suite where it is adopted. ACT's assist the Behavior Department with Safers, Felinality, and Meet-Your-Match evaluations, the Vet Department with surgery, treatments, transformation and euthanasia, we drive transfers between other campuses and MADACC, and some are even familiar with the processes of adoption counseling and intaking animals in arrivals.
As we perform these diverse responsibilities throughout the shelter, we see firsthand the need for donations to enrich the support we are able to give to each individual animal as it progresses through our shelter. The ACT/Operations departmental goal for the Tails on the Trail walk is $1,000. Donations can be made by clicking the button on the right, or by contacting an ACT for a cash/check donation. Please consider donating today!
