Tails on the Trail Dog Walk

The Fast & the Furriest

We are so excited and proud to say that the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) found homes for 9,617 animals in 2012 alone - but there are still so many more animals that need our help.  Everyone knows that animal shelters find homes for homeless animals, but how many of you know that WHS receives NO government funding to also provide some pretty incredible programs for the community?

- Our Safe Haven program offers temporary shelter for animals of domestic violence victims, allowing them to leave a dangerous situation without losing their beloved companions.

- Our PAL program helps underprivileged youth learn the importance of responsibility, teamwork and caring for others by working directly with a dog, helping care for baby ducklings in our wildlife nursery and socializing cats.

- Our SNAP program offers discounted spay and neuter surgery for animals in low-income families

- Our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center cares for over 5,000 wild animals every year and is the largest wildlife center in the state.

Pretty cool, isn't it?  And those are just a few of the wonderful things the Wisconsin Humane Society does!  So here's where you come in!

Will you help us keep these amazing programs and continue to expand our mission to not only save the lives of thousands of homeless, abandoned and neglected animals, but to help make the community a better place?  Please make a donation to support our team "The Fast & the Furriest" and support animals in need in our community.

On behalf of everyone on team The Fast & the Furriest,
