Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I will be participating in the Tails on the Trail dog walk on Saturday, May 11, 2013 to support animals in need at the Wisconsin Humane Society(WHS).

Our Team Name is the Psychedelic Furs!

The Wisconsin Humane Society is an organization that is very near and dear to my heart. Not only do they provide lifesaving services to thousands of animals every year, but they also offer programs and services to the community that might surprise you.

Did you know that the Safe Haven Program at WHS offers temporary shelter to animals of domestic violence victims so that they can leave a dangerous situation without the worry of also losing their companions? Or that WHS has had a nationally-accredited program for over 20 years that helps at-risk youth learn the importance of responsibility, empathy and caring for others by working directly with an adoptable dog?

These are just two of many wonderful programs WHS offers, and it is all made possible through the support of the community. WHS receives no government funding and is not part of any national organization, so they rely entirely on the generosity of people like you and me.
