After devoting years to education and various jobs in the animal care field, I'm finally settled in as an Animal Care Specialist at the Wisconsin Humane Society. It really is an amazing and rewarding place to work. In particular, being a part of the Animal Care team allows me to see firsthand just how important individual donations are to support the work we do: from the vaccines administered to the animals on intake, to the behavioral assessments given, to the food and enrichment while they stay in our kennels, to the individual vet care in surgery or when on treatment, all the way to the adoption floor, donations are key to giving these animals the best care possible. Last year alone we helped 9,617 animals find homes. In particular, one of those is the newest addition to my own household, Tequila Rose. My other dog, Diesel, and my cat, Madison, were both rescued from the Wisconsin Humane Society as well. Everyday I am thankful for the happiness they bring to my life. I couldn't imagine living without them! Being a part of the Tails on the Trails walk is a way for me to actively help the each of the individual animals I work with on a daily basis so that they can have the best care while at the shelter and help them to find a loving forever home. Please consider making a donation today! You can do so by clicking the link to the right, or contact me at amiszewski@wihumane.org for cash/check donations.
