Dear Family and Friends:
I like dogs. To be honest, I like all animals. When I was looking for a volunteer "gig" after I retired, I was drawn to the Wisconsin Humane Society. This incredible organization has opened up a real opportunity for me to not only be involved hands-on to help companion animals, but to evolve into an advocate for them. When I held a puppy mill victim in my arms for the first time, I knew I had found my calling. Until you have experienced first hand the wonderful work the WHS does, until you see the amazing transformations that happen to the animals that enter this facility, it is hard to comprehend. All of this happens without one cent of government funding. As a result, the animals that pass through our doors depend upon the generosity of people like YOU. Please join me in making sure that no dog, cat, rabbit, bird, or pocket pet has to be turned away...and that all adoptable animals continue have as long as it takes to find their forever home.

Hi, Team Members!
Can you believe the Tails on the Trail walk is this coming Saturday, May 11th? That's right--in three days we will be walking through beautiful Greenfield Park. Anyone still interested in joining team Adopt! Don't Shop! may register on the day of the walk at Greenfield Park. You may make a donation on-line through May 9th, or bring your donation to the walk. And remember--every penny raised goes to help the animals at our Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Racine campuses. We couldn't do what we do without YOU! See you on the trail!

Packet Pick-Up!
Hi, Team Members!
If you pre-registered for the walk, you can pick up your registration packet on Tuesday, May 7th between 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at our Milwaukee Campus (4500 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53208)! I thank all of you who have already registered to walk with team Adopt! Don't Shop! If you are still interested in walking with us, you may register on the day of the walk at Greenfield Park. A big "thank you!" to all who have donated to the team and to me. Donations continue to be welcome and remember--every cent goes to help the animals at the WHS!

It's Almost Here!
Wow, can you believe it is less than 3 weeks until the Tails On The Trail walk?? A big THANK YOU to all who have donated or signed up to walk with team Adopt! Don't Shop! There is also still time to sign up to join the team or to make a donation. Remember, we are able to provide excellent care for the animals thanks to all of you!
