Young Advocates Club

Young Advocates TOTT 2017Thank you for your interest in the Wisconsin Humane Society’s Young Advocates Club, a club for teenagers in the Ozaukee area! The Young Advocates Club is an exciting opportunity for youth ages 13-18 who are passionate about saving the lives of animals. The purpose of the club is to empower young people to work together to help animals in need. Young Advocates work on various projects to share information in the community, raise funds to support our mission, and more!

Meetings will be held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:00 p.m. January – May. Young Advocate Club members also participate in the MKE Pet Walk on Saturday, June 20.

The Young Advocates Club will be walking as a fundraising team (your family and dogs are welcome to join!) at the MKE Pet Walk in June. Last year, 1,000 dogs and their families joined in the walk/run. Your family and your dog can experience agility and lure courses, vender booths, food, live music and a doggy fashion show. Last year, the Young Advocates Club raised nearly $4,000 for WHS animals leading up the event!  If you are interested in getting involved, but are unable to make the first meeting, please contact me so that arrangements can be made. Once the club has decided on projects, there may be additional meetings/events as needed.

Please sign up prior to attending your first meeting. This is important information for us to have about you. If you have any questions, please contact Libby at 262-988-5947 or ejones@wihumane.org.
