Dog Manners Class
Wisconsin Humane Society Classroom 2 & 3

Thank you for your interest in Dog Manners Class! Please be sure to look over the requirements for our program.

Your dog will be taught in a reward based positive learning environment where he or she will have fun! Upon completion of this class, your dog will be able to respond to many of the cues that we like in a well mannered dog: sit, down, stay, off, leave it, wait at the door, come, walking on a loose leash and other important cues. We will also focus on getting your dog used to touch, brushing, teaching relaxation, and on how to get your dog's attention when faced with distrations. We will teach you the tools that you need so you can train your dog and will give you homework that you can practice at home.

We will also practice some of the exercises that are required for the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification. If you decide you want to take that exam with your dog, you may do so with one of our instructors anytime after you have completed the class.

Manners classes meet for 50 minutes every week on the same day and time for 6 consecutive weeks.
