Saving the Sweet Tempered Pit Bull workshop is being held on March 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Central Bark Downtown, 420 S. 1st Street, Milwaukee.

Join the Wisconsin Humane Society, the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission and the ASPCA for this full-day workshop to discuss the challenges sweet-tempered Pit Bulls face in Milwaukee County. Learn what other communities are doing to help Pit Bulls, discuss programs that are in place for these dogs and facilitate fostering groups as well as teams to actively develop options for sweet tempered Pit Bulls. Sponsors of the event include MADACC, the Wisconsin Humane Society, ASPCA, Central Bark and McCabe Group Insurance Services.

 Speakers and Demonstrations:

  • Bad Rap from Oakland, who worked with the Pit Bulls seized from Michael Vick
  • ASPCA
  • Information on Sue Sternberg's Lug Nuts and Training Wheels program

The fee for this workshop is $10. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. This workshop is limited to 60 guests.
